How to report and how we handle material corrections.

We aim to correct material errors clearly and promptly.

What to report

Readers can report an incorrect fact, broken source, misleading comparison, outdated instruction or accessibility problem by emailing the editorial team:

Please include the page URL, the statement in question and a reliable supporting source where possible.

How corrections are handled

  1. Record the page, claim and supporting evidence.
  2. Check the original and current primary sources.
  3. Correct the article and any related metadata or internal links.
  4. Update the fact-checked date when the review is material.
  5. Add a visible correction note when the original error could have affected an important decision.

Minor spelling or formatting corrections do not normally require a public correction note.
